In-Stat consumer survey data shows 49 per cent of MP3 player owners own an Apple iPod. The rapidly growing worldwide market for Flash-based and hard disk drive (HDD)-based players is to jump from 140 Million units in 2005 to 286 Million by 2010.
iPod as product has been a cash cow for Apple and drag Cupertino’s guys out of the financial mud they were in across late ’90 and first of the millennium.
